Education experience and achievements
I attended St Cuthbert’s College from year 7 to 13 and gained NZQA Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 with Excellence. I received New Zealand Scholarship Outstanding Scholar Award and achieved NZQA scholarship level in each of my Level 3 subjects (English, History, Painting, Design & Technology).
I have a Master of Communication Studies (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Communication Studies degree, receiving scholarships to complete both. I am currently developing a research proposal for a PhD in Digital Memory Studies.
In 2016 and 2017 I worked at Auckland University of Technology as a tutor for Communication Studies. This role entailed preparing and delivering tutorials for year 1 and 2 students in ways that allowed content to be relevant and interesting, and was often based in discussion. I believe that when learning is meaningful and concepts can be unpacked then students can excel.
I also have worked as Disability Support Worker for Auckland University of Technology, have volunteered as youth leader for six years and tutored my sister in high school. I am passionate about learning and would love to help others feel similarly. My expertise is in English related subjects.
