Lily Kwok is available to tutor in Karaka, Drury, Papakura, Takanini, Flatbush, Manurewa and Manukau area. She tutors in student's homes. She is also available to meet at the Papakura, Manurewa or central city library.
Education experience and achievements
Lily attended Yr 9 at Auckland Girls' Grammar School before experiencing two years of overseas studies at Crestwood High School, Sydney. She then went on to complete NCEA level 2 and 3 at Rosehill College, Auckland.
At Auckland Girls Grammar School, she was the recipient of the Rua I Gardner Scholarship.
At Crestwood High School, she was awarded the gold award for academic excellence two years in a row. The subjects of recognition ranged from Science, Mathematics and Commerce to Design and Technology. In 2012, she also received the Crestwood High School Scholarship Award for outstanding studies.
At Rosehill College, she became top scholar for English in Year 13 and recipient of the Jill Sim Memorial Award. She achieved excellence endorsement in both NCEA level 2 and 3.
Lily studied Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Auckland. She is the university's recipient of the Summer Research Scholarship in Education.
In her spare time, she does a bit of a cooking and singing, which she loves. She also enjoys hikes and running, taking in the sunshine and breeze. Lily is an experienced maths tutor, english tutor, chemistry tutor and science tutor.
Lily has had two years of experience as a professional tutor. Her success stories include a Yr 10 student who reached national standard in Mathematics and a Yr 12 student who achieved excellence endorsement in Biology. Lily was selected as the Science Faculty Student Mentor for the University of Auckland.
During the weekend, Lily volunteers as Sunday School teacher. She cherishes her students and is striving to produce quality lessons that will enable them to grow.
