Lily Kwok is available to tutor in Karaka, Drury, Papakura, Takanini, Manurewa and Manukau area. She tutors in student's homes. She is also available to meet at the Papakura, Manurewa or central city library.
Education experience and achievements
Lily attended Yr 9 at Auckland Girls' Grammar School before experiencing two years of overseas studies at Crestwood High School, Sydney. She then went on to complete NCEA level 2 and 3 at Rosehill College, Auckland.
At Auckland Girls Grammar School, she was the recipient of the Rua I Gardner Scholarship.
At Crestwood High School, she was awarded the gold award for academic excellence two years in a row. The subjects of recognition ranged from Science, Mathematics and Commerce to Design and Technology. In 2012, she also received the Crestwood High School Scholarship Award for outstanding studies.
At Rosehill College, she became top scholar for English in Year 13 and recipient of the Jill Sim Memorial Award. She achieved excellence endorsement in both NCEA level 2 and 3, including level 2 Painting, English, Chemistry and Biology and level 3 Academic English and Chemistry.
Lily is currently studying Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Auckland. In her spare time, she does a bit of a cooking and singing, which she loves. She also enjoys hikes and running, taking in the sunshine and breeze. Lily is an experienced maths tutor, english tutor, chemistry tutor and science tutor.
Lily has had two years of experience as a peer tutor, working with young students to cultivate their sense of identity, inter-relational skills and confidence.
She has been a Sunday School helper in 2015 and has recently progressed on to become one of the teachers. She absolutely adores her students and is striving to produce quality lessons that will enable them to grow.
