Education experience and achievements
Currently, I am a fourth-year civil engineering student at the University of Auckland studying towards a Bachelor (Hons) degree. I enjoy new challenges and would be happy to assist those of any academic background. I believe that every student is distinctly different and as a result, I have successfully employed a number of different strategies to help students of all academic backgrounds obtain success.
Other Achievements include:
Highly Commended in the University of Auckland ‘Next Top Engineering Science Competition’ (2011),
Top Student of AS Physics at ACG Sunderland School and College (2011),
First Place in ‘ChallENG 2014’- an engineering interdisciplinary team-based competition held within the University of Auckland’s Engineering Department.
The moment I realised I enjoyed providing others with academic assistance is when I became a peer tutor in my high school during year 13. This opportunity allowed me to develop a strong relationship with my peers and through mutual support, I was able to communicate a difficult concept using a number of different approaches.
I first joined Pencilcase Tutoring in 2014 during my second year at university. A combination of determination and patience I have seen amazing successes with students from a variety of different backgrounds.
