I have 8+ years of experience working with students aged 10 to 18 in both NCEA and Cambridge systems, particularly those with dyslexia and on the Asperges/Autism spectrum. I've also tutored study skills (time management, exam preparation, etc. for all subjects) and NZQA Scholarship in arts subjects.
I am a third year student at the University of Auckland, studying a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. In 2017, I intend to study a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching.
In high school, I did NCEA for all my subjects and I also did Cambridge Maths on top of NCEA maths (so 2 lots of exams at the end of the year).
I obtained an excellence endorsement at all three NCEA levels, as well as subject endorsements at excellence level in English, Statistics, Music, Biology and Chemistry. I was awarded the Excellence Scholarship from Victoria University (2015) and the Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship from Otago University (2015). Currently at Victoria, I am in my second year of a degree majoring in English Literature and Psychology achieving at an A grade average.

I tutored as a part of the 'Tutoring for students by students' programme at my school during 2014 and 2015. I also frequently tutor my friends and classmates at university by assisting with assignments and problems.
I have gained experience with younger people through babysitting. I often babysit children in my local area.
I also have experience teaching younger people through gymnastics. I attended recreational gymnastics classes for seven years and as a part of this I would lead warm-ups and help coach the younger girls. Generally, for the first hour of the class, I would coach a group of five younger girls through some skills and exercises.
I am currently studying at Wellington College in my final year, taking English, Digital Technology, Spanish, Statistics and Business.
Last year, I completed A-Level Maths, as well as NCEA Level 3 Calculus, Physics and Accounting, also gaining Scholarship in all of those subjects, including an Outstanding Scholarship in Physics. I have gained Excellence Endorsements at all levels of NCEA, and gained University Entrance as a Year 12 student last year.
I have also had great success in extra-curricular competitions, having won a prize, or been in the winning team for competitions such as ICAS, the VUWMA Comp, Mathswell and the NZ Maths Olympiad.
I went to Hutt Valley High School, where I completed NCEA Level 3 with an Excellence endorsement. At Level 3, I was pleased to receive top of subject awards in German and music, having received awards in German and Media Studies the previous year. Currently I am finishing off a BA degree at Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Linguistics and Spanish. Here I have enjoyed 'A' averages throughout my studies.
I am studying towards a teaching degree and have had experience in both Primary and Secondary schools. I have taken high school classes on Science and Chemistry and have helped out in Geography classes. I have had some experience tutoring students for NCEA Chemistry through another tutoring company. During High School I was also a Swim Teacher after-school, which I believe has helped me work on skills such as clarity, time management and building connections with my students!
